Border Patrol Agents Track Vehicle To Discover Marijuana

Border Patrol agent assigned to the Ajo Station’s All-Terrain Unit detected and followed vehicle tracks which led to an abandoned truck that had been driven into a deep ravine.  Subsequently, agents discovered 80 bundles of marijuana inside the vehicle. The narcotics weighed approximately 1,750 pounds with an estimated value of $875,000. A records check revealed the vehicle was reported stolen to the Peoria Police Department.  The vehicle was recovered and turned over to the Tohono O’odham Police Department. The marijuana was seized and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

  1. I wonder what the time period was from the time the vehicle was reported stolen to the time it was discovered in the ravine.
