Monday, May 23, 2011 - 1:21pmEL PASO - Customs officers in El Paso seized 29 pounds of cocaine worth nearly a million dollars in two separate seizures.
The first bust happened at the Ysleta crossing during which a Juarez woman was taken into custody. Inspectors say she had eight pounds of cocaine hidden in her SUV.
The second seizure was made at the Bridge of the Americas when inspectors found 20 pounds of coke in the center console of a car. A Juarez man is under arrest for drug smuggling.
